Kids Martial Arts

Q: “Will martial arts, karate, tae kwon do make my kid violent?”

No way! In fact, martial arts makes kids calmer and more respectful than ever. Martial arts always has been about peace, and it always will be.

Q: “What's a good age for a child to start martial arts, karate, tae kwon do?”

Honestly, practically every age is a good age to start! We have children as young as 3 years old, as well as teenagers. We also have specific programs for adults. So no matter where you or your child is on the age spectrum - we've got you covered.

Q: “My child isn't athletic. Can he/she still participate in martial arts, karate, tae kwon do if he/she?”

Absolutely. Martial arts teaches kids to be coordinated, flexible and strong. Kids who don't naturally have these qualities develop them. Kids who do have these qualities grow them even more.

Adult Martial Arts

Q: “How many classes per week should I come to?”

Most of our members come about 1-3 times per week and see great results. Come as much as your schedule affords!

Q: “Is it okay if I'm a beginner?”

Absolutely! Our program is extremely beginner-friendly.

Q: “I'm interested in losing weight and getting in shape. Will your classes help me accomplish this?”

As martial arts involve rigorous exercise with all parts of your body, you can expect your physical shape to greatly improve. However, if these are your main goals, we recommend our fitness kickboxing class which is designed for the sole purpose of helping you lose weight and get in awesome shape. It's a ton of fun, too.

Fitness Kickboxing

Q: “Do you offer group and/or private classes at your Jacksonville facility?”

Yes! Both are available. Availability for private instruction may vary.

Q: “How many students are generally in a class?”

You can expect around 15-30 students / class. We keep a good instructor to student ratio to insure you get the best experience.

Q: “Should I get in shape before getting started?”

There seems to be a misconception out there that martial arts requires you to be in great shape. The truth is, if you're not in great shape now - you'll get there as you learn. You DON'T have to be in great shape before you start!

Q: “I need nutritional help! Do you offer this?”

Nutritional guidance & support comes packaged with our fitness kickboxing program, which is designed to help you burn fat and tone muscle.

Krav Maga / Self Defense

Q: “I have a medical condition / past injury. Can I still take Krav Maga?”

Most likely, the answer is yes. Speak to your doctor, and let us know what he / she says. We'll gladly work with what your doctor has to say to provide you with a safe, fun experience.

Q: “What's the environment of these classes like? Are they fun? Serious? Etc.?”

Our classes are a good mixture of fun & focus. Every class has moments of serious concentration, blended with sheer fun & laughter. After all, all work and no play makes for boring Krav Maga classes!
